This month was full of planning and dreaming about upcoming youth initiatives. We have been talking with a diverse group of community partners to brainstorm ways to sustain our Youth Metro Drug Coalition. Some upcoming initiatives include partnering with new community members, an alcohol awareness campaign, and exciting training opportunities for coalition members. We are also continuing in our partnership with SHADES of Development to offer the vaping prevention program, Catch My Breath, to their participants. This month we finished up at Mt. Olive Elementary and we are beginning sessions at New Hopewell Elementary soon. Last, but certainly not least, we held our first instructor training session for our implementation of Generation RX, a prescription safety program for elementary and middle school aged kids. We have one more instructor training session before we roll out the program! Stay Tuned!
