2023 World Kindness Week Door Decoration Contest

What is the contest?

This contest consists of decorating your classroom door for World Kindness Week & submitting a photo to Metro Drug Coalition. The theme for this year’s contest is “Kindness Like Confetti,” so all door decorations should use this theme as a guideline in their design.

Get creative and have fun with it! 

Who can enter the contest? 

Any Knox County elementary school classroom is eligible to win this competition.

What are the rules for the door decoration?

  • Doors should be decorated on one side only. If possible, we encourage you to decorate the exterior of your door so everyone walking in the hallway can see it!
  • Only one door may be decorated for submission. If you choose to decorate multiple doors, you must select one.
  • Only decorations within the doorframe will be judged. Decorations on the doorframe, walls, ceiling, or floor will not be considered when reviewing submissions.
  • Decorations should demonstrate the importance of kindness. Be creative!
  • Only one submission per teacher will be considered. Submissions are due on November 20th by 4:30 p.m. No late submissions will be accepted.

What do I get if I win?

The First Place Class will receive a pizza party & goody bags & a gift card for their teacher.
The Second Place Class will receive a cookie cake party & goody bags & a gift card for their teacher.
The Third Place Class will receive goody bags & a gift card for their teacher.

When is the photo submission deadline?

All submissions are due no later than Monday, November 20th at 11:59pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. If you have difficulty uploading a submission, please reach out to Simone Shannon at sshannon@metrodrug.org or call 865-588-5550.

How do I submit my photo?

Please take a photo of your door decoration and click here to submit. Please note that photos may be shared on Metro Drug Coalition’s website/social media pages. Please do not include any children in the photos. If you have any issues with this form, please email Simone Shannon at sshannon@metrodrug.org.

When will I know if I won?

Winners will be contacted via email by Friday, November 27th. Please check your junk folder for notification.
