Dear MDC Family,

Thank you for being a part of the Metro Drug Coalition family. Your support has helped us serve thousands of individuals and families across the Knoxville region — and we’re reaching out today because that work must continue.

Last week, we were informed that three of our ARPA-funded grants would be discontinued immediately. These cuts are part of a broader reduction in federal funding that’s affecting nonprofits across the country. While this news is difficult, it’s also a clear reminder: we cannot let government funding determine the future of our mission.

We’re acting swiftly — pursuing new grants, strengthening partnerships, and expanding our donor base — but long-term sustainability depends on the support of our community.

That’s where you come in.

We’re asking for your continued support to ensure MDC remains strong, resilient, and ready to meet the growing need for prevention, harm reduction, and recovery services in East Tennessee. Whether you’re able to give of your time by volunteering with us, make a financial investment through a one-time or recurring monthly donation, or share our story with your contacts, your contribution makes a real and immediate impact.

This is not a crisis. It’s a call to action — and with your help, we will meet it.

If you’d like to discuss ways to give or help share our story, I would be honored to connect with you directly.
With Gratitude,
Webster Bailey
Executive Director
