Event Details: This training will equip medical professionals and other staff to:
- Understand the disease process of addiction, recognize the risk factors and causes of
- Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and other harmful health consequences of substance misuse,
- Understand the process of SBIRT, an evidence-based screening tool, to assess risk for substance abuse in patients, and learn ways to implement and administer brief interventions.
