Recognizing Outgoing Board Members

As the year comes to an end, six members are rotating off of the MDC Board of Directors. These men have dedicated their time and service to the Metropolitan Drug Commission for many years. We will miss each and every one of you, and want to thank each of you for being a part of making a difference in the Knoxville community.

Former Attorney General Randy Nichols served as an active and very engaged board member for 22 years and also held the position of Board President in his tenure.

Charles W. Swanson, Attorney, passionately served six years on the board, including serving as Board President. He provided legal counsel to the organization and the board of directors and remains active on the Public Policy/Advocacy Committee.

Donald B. Wake, President TIS Insurance Services, served seven years on the board and also held the positions of Secretary and President during his time with the board.

Larry Elmore, Pugh CPA’s, provided financial oversight to the board for six years where he served as Treasurer and also advised others who served in that position.

Dennis Francis, Attorney, served three years on the board of directors as a passionate advocate.

Rick Lassiter, CAO Parkwest, served three years during which he engaged Parkwest staff in supporting efforts to improve the academic environment at Richard Yoakley school.

We also would like to welcome our two newest board members, Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen and Elizabeth Sherrod with Sherrod Investigative Group.
