SUMMARY:Flourish: Group Engagement
DESCRIPTION:The FLOURISH Recovery Workforce Academy will be hosting Dr. Frances Patterson for a FREE training on group engagement. \n\n\n\nJoin us on April 23\, 2026 for Dr. Patterson’s presentation on Group Engagement. We will offer two 2-hour sessions of this free training; Session One will be held from 10 am-12 pm\, and Session Two will be held from 1 pm-3 pm. Please only register for one session\, and have each attendee complete their own registration. \n\n\n\nGroup is a powerful\, dynamic process. By creating a safe and supportive environment and being prepared for group\, facilitators can help individuals move toward healthy change. By fostering engagement and promoting confidentiality\, you can facilitate an environment where every participant has the opportunity to grow. Its effectiveness hinges on several key factors: the power of the circle\, the preparation of both the environment and the facilitator\, and the ability to navigate diverse individual challenges. In this presentation\, Dr. Patterson will explore the essential elements of group\, including what happens before and during the group sessions\, and how to address challenges as they arise. Some engaging group ice breakers will be included in the presentation.
