Join Metro Drug Coalition, the Regional Medication Collection Task Force, Knoxville Police Department, Second Harvest of East Tennessee, Young Williams Animal Center and Stashed Away as we come together for a Community Prevention Day! We will be collecting unwanted medications, distributing free naloxone, hosting a food and kitten needs drive and will have an educational experience for parents. Don’t miss out on this incredible event!

- Food Drive- Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee will be having a nonperishable food drive. Here are the most needed items:
Peanut Butter
Soups
Macaroni and Cheese
Canned Protein
(Chicken, Tuna, Vienna
Sausages, SPAM)
Ramen Noodles
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Canned Vegetables

- DEA Take Back Day- Medication Collection Event: Bring your unused and expired medications to KPD. Meds may ONLY be dropped off at this location during this event. Residential/household medications ONLY. Meds from businesses, doctors offices, nursing homes, etc. will NOT be accepted. We will have lockboxes for any individual in need of safe medication storage. For other drop off locations in your area, please visit countitlockitdropit.org.

- Kitten Needs Drive: Young -Williams Animal Center will be having a kitten needs drive. Here are the most needed items:
Breeder’s Edge Kitten Milk Replacer
Pet Ag bottle kits
Chicken or Turkey Wet Cat Food
Young -Williams Animal Center will also be giving information about their spay and neuter clinics.

- Stashed Away: Stashed Away is an educational experience that walks you through a typical teenager’s bedroom. The inside of the bedroom is set up with drug paraphernalia “Stashed Away.” This is an interactive display/program that offers parents insights into current trends in youth substance abuse, drug paraphernalia, and concealment of illicit drugs & alcohol
