CME Credit Information

The Tennessee Medical Association is accredited by the Ac­creditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (AC­CME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Tennessee Medical Association and the Knoxville Academy of Medicine. The Tennessee Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Tennessee Medical Association designates this for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Sessions 2, 5, 6 & 7 fulfill the 2 hours of Proper Prescribing CME AMA PRA requirement for licensure.

Pharmacist Continuing Education Information:

The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Successful completion of this knowledge-based activity will provide a statement for five & (5) live contact hours credit (0.5 CEUs) and will be mailed within 3 weeks following the activity.  Successful completion includes attending the session, signing the attendance sheet and completion of the activity evaluation form. CE credit will also be submitted to the NABP CE Monitor. Universal Activity Number (UAN):  0064-9999-20-009-L08-P

Grievance Policy:  A participant, provider, faculty member or other individual wanting to file a grievance with respect to any aspect of an activity provided or co-provided by the UTCOP may contact the Associate Dean for Continuing Education in writing. The grievance will be reviewed and a response will be returned within 45 days of receiving the written statement.  If not satisfied, an appeal to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy can be made for a second level of review.
